Pure Hot Stone full body massage, is a fluid, warming and relaxing massage, which includes the face and scalp. Warm stones are placed on specific areas of the body and others are used to actually massage your body, relaxing muscles quickly and thoughly. The stones I use are naturally shaped, Basalt stones. They are used as they keep their wonderful heat for longer than other types of stone. It really is the ultimate spa treatment.

What to expect:
We will fill out a consultation form together, this gives me an over all picture of your health, lifestyle and what your hopes and expectations for the treatment are. After testing your wrist for heat sensitivity (with a hot stone and oil), I will then leave you to undress and make yourself comfortable on the couch (you will have towels to cover yourself with). Once the massage is finished I leave you for a few minutes to finish resting. I'll return with a drink of water for you and we can discuss the treatment and aftercare advice.

Aftercare:
Often clients feel a bit "heady" after the treatment (laying down and relaxing can lower blood pressure), I encourage people to get up slowly,  take their time and to drink plenty of water. To help you get the most from your massage I supply an aftercare leaflet with more information and exercise suggestions for you to try.
After massage sometimes people experience headaches, tiredness, aching muscles, feeling energised or just hotter or colder than usual. These are all normal reactions, but if you are worried contact me.

Indian Head Massage
Similar benefits as with full body massage
This is traditionally a seated massage using a range of different movements, some vigorous and stimulating, while others are relaxing and soothing. It's a lovely stand alone treatment or can be an ideal introduction to massage for those that feel a little nervous.
The upper back, upper arms, shoulders, neck, head, face and ears are all massaged, using either lavender/rose massage wax or almond oil.

After testing your wrist for heat sensitivity, I will leave you to remove your top half of clothing and wrap yourself in a towel. Aftercare is the same as with body massage
